About the Author
The first time I was desperate enough to put my life in God’s hands was when I prayed for a husband. I hadn’t had much success on my own and I had decided to cut my losses then and there. So I made a deal with God. If only Papa would answer my prayer, I would never ask for another thing as long as I lived. I was only 23. And I didn’t realize that one did not make “deals” with God. Did I mention I was only 23? What did I know? Yet, God delivered, big time. I married the love of my life.
Deal or no deal, it was this very first request that has led me to this point in my own spiritual journey. And through the years I have learned, as has Curious Kate, that God is never tired of answering our questions, sharing His wisdom, listening to our woes, and responding to our prayers. Some days He even gets a chuckle out of us as we try to do the same thing over and over expecting different results. In my world, it is called learning the hard way. And even if we turn our backs on Him, as I had on more than one occasion, we are never far from His loving heart and healing touch.
Curious Kate: Truthseeker Extraordinaire is meant to be an encouragement to anyone who is truly searching for truth and wisdom, to go “straight to the top”. In the meantime, sit down, have a cup of java and enjoy The Life and Times of Curious Kate.
Dedicated to Papa, for his unconditional love and unlimited patience. And to my husband, David. “Love never dies”. ~ Cindy
“I am a little pencil in God’s hands. He does the thinking.
He does the writing. He does everything and sometimes
it is really hard because it is a broken pencil and
He has to sharpen it a little more. ~ Mother Teresa
